Germán Bersalli is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the IASS. He joined the Dynamics of the Energy Transition research group in October 2019, working on strategies and policies for deep decarbonization. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Grenoble in France. During his doctoral thesis, he focused on quantitative and qualitative evaluation of renewable energy policy in Latin America. He has taught several courses in Finances, Environmental Economics, and Energy Policy for bachelors, masters, and Ph.D. students in Potsdam, Grenoble, and in Argentina. Besides, he worked as an external consultant for an international NGO and several companies. His current research, combining Economics and Transition Studies, aims to understand the economic, political, and policy dimensions of different strategies to decarbonize the energy sector, with a special focus on European and Latin American countries.
