The IASS hosts the “Arctic Horizon 2030” Workshop, convening Arctic experts and stakeholders, on 9 and 10 December 2013. The goals of the workshop are to identify key trends and critical junctures in the Arctic with stakeholders from academia, civil society, industry, and politics. The workshop aims at designing a research program on sustainable Arctic transformation that is driven by close and continuous interaction with stakeholders and carried out jointly with interested partners. The title of the program is “Sustainable Modes of Arctic Resource-Driven Transformation” (SMART).
