Research Cabaret: Submit to the Monster

In Submit to the Monster: A Research Cabaret, you are called to step into a space where lectures mingle with drag, sensory immersion, and playful interaction. Guided by Mx. Science and his queer kin, we will collectively respond to a call from the underworld of research - the monstrous, the mythic, the hidden, and the liminal.  

Research - the entity - is in need, and our submission is required. 

In this event by RIFS fellow Saskia de Wildt the audience/participants explore the tensions between the institutional formatting and requirements of the grant application/ research proposal and the undercommons of fugitive bodies, knowledge and communities. How do we write a proposal that looks like it fits, but is built to leak.

This is an unique event, written specifically to the architecture of the RIFS bankbuilding, in which performance art meets the lecture room, and the unruly take over for a couple of hours!
