Planetary Transitions: Potsdam Artist Residency
From 16 November to 14 December 2025, KunstHaus Potsdam will be showing the exhibition ‘Planetary Transitions: Potsdam Artist Residency’, which presents the current works of the scholarship holders of the international residency programme of the same name.
The programme of the state capital Potsdam is carried out in cooperation with the RIFS – Research Institute for Sustainability (Helmholtz Centre Potsdam) and the DAAD. Since 2024, it has been supporting artists and researchers who work at the interface of art, science and ecology. The aim is to open up creative perspectives on the social, ecological and cultural dynamics of planetary transformations.
The exhibition opening will take place on Sunday, 16 November at 4 p.m. Speakers will include Dr Birgit-Katharine Seemann, Head of Culture and Museums for the state capital of Potsdam, Martin Gorholt, Chairman of the KunstHaus Potsdam art association, and Sophia Pietryga, Artistic Director of KunstHaus Potsdam.
The closing event will take place on Sunday, 14 December at 4 p.m.
On 21, 22, 23, 28, 29 and 30 November, as well as on 12, 13 and 14 December, Angela Ka Ki Lee will be working on ‘Intimate Space: Planetary Energy Portrait’. Participants are invited to develop their perspective on energy infrastructures in a conversation, which the artist will then translate into drawings.
