Merle Remy joined the research project SHAPE (Sustainable development pathways achieving Human well-being while safeguarding the climate And Planet Earth) in 2019 as a research associate. Together with the Stockholm Resilience Centre, she organises the project's multi-stakeholder dialogue as part of the co-creation process to develop Sustainable Development Pathways (SDPs). The SDPs are a new set of target-seeking scenarios that jointly address the Paris climate targets and the Agenda 2030's Sustainable Development Goals. Within the project, the SDPs are analysed using integrated assessment modelling (IAM), industrial ecology modelling, and from a social science perspective. More information about the SHAPE project and the consortium can be found on the project's website: http://shape-project.org/
Merle Remy holds a M.Sc. in International Area Studies of the Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg. She has further studied in Aix-en-Provence, Oldenburg and Perth (WA).
