Marina is pursuing a Master's degree in Climate Change and Development at the SOAS University of London. She worked in a consulting firm in Washington, DC, which focuses on environmental diplomacy, where she researched the opportunities of citizen science. She also had an internship in the Adaptation Division of the UNFCCC during the COP26. There she was supporting the team of the Loss and Damage Unit, which focuses on addressing the losses and damages associated with climate change. Since January 2022, Marina assisted the Global Energy Transition Politics and Policy research group at IASS as an intern to later start a new position as a student assistant in June.
