Luke Shuttleworth

Research Associate

Luke Shuttleworth works as a Research Associate in the project 'Digitalisation and Impacts on Sustainability'. He holds a degree in International Development Studies (M.Sc.) from the University of Amsterdam and wrote his dissertation on the impact of informal microfinance on household relations and female entrepreneurship in rural Western Kenya for which he designed and carried out a mixed-methods fieldwork in the area. Prior to starting at the IASS, Luke worked for different NGOs and research institutes in the Netherlands, Germany, Italy and Kenya. Currently, he is also completing the Research Training Program in Social Sciences (M.A.) at Humboldt University in Berlin.
