David Kasprowski has been working at the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies e.V. (IASS) Potsdam since July 2019, where he is working on his dissertation about the limits and possibilities of participation formats in the transportation transition, the interplay of structural categories of social inequality and geographical, social and everyday mobility.
David Kasprowski first studied Psychology (Bachelor) at the University of Bielefeld. During this time, he spent a year with the Erasmus+ program at the University of Vienna, where he mainly focused on sociological theory and social inequality. This was followed by a master's degree in sociology at Freie Universität Berlin, where he focused on social discrimination and inequality in a comparative perspective.
During his school and university years he took part in various theatre projects, among others he staged a play he wrote himself at the Theater Bielefeld (2017) and gave a theatre workshop on the occasion of the "Gesellschaft_Macht_Geschlecht" event at the University of Bielefeld (2018).
