Matteo De Donà joined the IASS in September 2016 as a Research Associate in the Land Governance team of the Global Soil Forum. He holds a Master's degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from the University of Trieste and he is now completing a MA in Culture, Environment and Sustainability at the University of Oslo. His current research interests include sustainable development, global environmental governance and MEAs, science-policy interfaces, as well as the links between land governance issues and human rights. Prior to joining the IASS, Matteo has worked as a trainee at the Council of the European Union in Brussels and as a consultant at the Secretariat of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) in Bonn. He also served as a Research Assistant at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) in Copenhagen.
