Headline: Arctic Discussion Series Event on “Advancing Arctic Sustainability”

The IASS in cooperation with its partners will hold the second event in the Arctic Discussion Series on “Achievements and Ways Ahead for Advancing Arctic Sustainability – The Canadian and US Chairmanships of the Arctic Council (2013-2017)” on 14 April 2015 at the Canadian Embassy in Berlin, starting at 5 p.m. The discussion will feature Carolina Cavazos Guerra (IASS), David J. Scott (Executive Director, Canadian Polar Commission), and George Noll (US Embassy, Berlin).

This event is part of a series of discussions on Arctic issues organized jointly by the Embassy of Canada, the International Arctic Science Committee, the Alfred Wegener Institute – Helmholtz Center for Polar and Marine Research, the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies, and Ecologic Institute. The first event in the Arctic Discussion Series took place on 13 October 2015 on the topic “The Arctic Council: Geopolitical Aspects and the Human Dimension”.
