Headline: Lecture “Collective Action and Property Rights for Natural Resource Management”

Ruth Meinzen-Dick, Senior Research Fellow at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) in Washington, D.C., will discuss how collective action and property rights are necessary for a range of natural resource management approaches, highlighting their role in agricultural production, resource sustainability and food security. Drawing on research by the CGIAR program on Collective Action and Property Rights (CAPRi), the presentation will explore some of the complexities involved in understanding and strengthening these key institutions, especially for any form of common pool resources.
